Description
Global Finance Enablement exists to make Finance faster, more consistent and better informed, replacing manual, spreadsheet-based work with automated, well-controlled and properly governed solutions.
This role supports that agenda directly. Working alongside and with technical direction from your manager, you will build and maintain the Power BI reporting that Global Finance relies on, automate and standardise the processes behind it, and help bring emerging AI tools into practical everyday use across the function.
It is a hands-on, build-focused role. You will be given ownership of solutions at an early stage, with support and review from your manager.

In this role you can expect to
Reporting and Insight
- Build, maintain and improve Power BI reports and data models for Global Finance, including data preparation in Power Query and measure logic in DAX
- Work with Finance stakeholders to turn reporting requirements into practical, scalable and maintainable solutions
- Migrate manual and spreadsheet-based reporting into controlled Power BI solutions
- Test and validate outputs back to source data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Review existing reports for opportunities to simplify, consolidate or retire them
- Monitor solution performance and resolve reporting issues promptly
Automation and Standardisation
- Identify manual, repetitive and inefficient Finance processes suitable for automation
- Standardise and simplify processes before automating them, rather than automating existing inefficiency
- Build and test solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps and other Group-approved tools
- Ensure automated workflows include appropriate controls, approvals and exception handling
- Support users after implementation and refine solutions based on feedback and performance
AI-Enabled Solutions
- This is a developing area for Global Finance. The role will grow with it as use cases are approved and Group governance matures.
- Support the rollout of approved AI use cases across Global Finance, working within Group data security, responsible-use and governance requirements
- Build and test AI-enabled solutions in areas such as knowledge retrieval, commentary drafting, reporting insight and anomaly identification as these are approved
- Work with Finance stakeholders to define use cases, expected outcomes and how outputs will be validated
- Ensure AI-generated output is subject to human review before it is relied upon
- Track usage, feedback and realised benefit to inform where the technology is worth extending
Data Quality, Governance and Controls
- Build reconciliation, validation and exception checks into solutions as standard
- Investigate and resolve data-quality issues in partnership with Finance and technical stakeholders
- Keep reporting logic, calculations and data transformations transparent, documented and reproducible
- Maintain clear records of source data, dependencies, access requirements and ownership
- Follow agreed development, testing, approval and change-control processes
- Reduce key-person dependency through effective documentation and knowledge sharing
Adoption, Enablement and Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare user guidance and training materials, and deliver practical support to Finance users
- Involve users during development and testing so that solutions meet real business needs
- Communicate progress, issues and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build effective working relationships across Global Finance, country teams and Group functions
- Flag delivery risks, data issues and competing priorities early, and propose practical alternatives
All About You
What Success Looks Like in the First Twelve Months
• You independently own and maintain a defined set of Power BI reports, with your manager reviewing rather than directing the build
• You independently own and maintain a defined portfolio of Power BI reports and automation solutions
• Data-quality issues are being identified and resolved by you before stakeholders raise them
• Global Finance and country users come to you directly for reporting support, and are confident using what you have built
Essential Experience and Skills
• Two to four years’ experience in business intelligence, Finance reporting, analytics or a closely related field
• Demonstrable hands-on Power BI experience, data modelling, Power Query and writing DAX measures
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation and validation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with financial or management-information data, and comfort reconciling figures back to source
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on accuracy
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Desirable Experience and Skills
• Power Automate and the wider Microsoft Power Platform
• Practical use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot in a work context
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure or other cloud data platforms
• Experience with JD Edwards, MicroStrategy or Salesforce PSA
• Python or VBA
• Experience working within a remote, globally dispersed team
